Note: If you wish to have multiple email boxes, you will need to call us and have them added to our system. You may then follow instructions on this page to actually use the new accounts.

For Microsoft Outlook & Outlook Express

Install your e-mail account
  1. Open the e-mail program
  2. Go to Tools
  3. Go to Accounts
  4. Go to Mail
  5. Click on Add if you don't see your account, otherwise
  6. Highlight your account and click on properties
  7. Click on each of the tabs, and enter the information listed below where asked. Leave everything else alone.
  8. Click OK, and then close out of the editing area
  9. Close the e-mail program
  10. Open the e-mail program
  11. Send yourself a test message, and be sure to use your own e-mail address
  12. Go get messages, and make sure that your test message has been received by the e-mail program
  13. Congratulations, you have successfully set up your e-mail program

Information Needed:

  • Incoming Mail Server is... mail.coinet.com
  • Outgoing Mail Server is... mail.coinet.com
  • Username is the first part of your e-mail address
  • Password is the same as your dial up account password
  • The exact name of the dialup networking connection you are using. That is selected under the "Connection" tab.
Setting up extra emails under Outlook and Outlook Express


Follow the same instructions above. After creating more than one mail account, one will be set as the default. Any email sent will be sent with the return address of the default account. If you wish to send with another return address, go to Tools, then choose Accounts, and select the account you wish to use, then click Default.

All email received will be shown in the INBOX regardless of which mail account the message was actually addressed to.

Setting up multiple accounts under Netscape Communicator


Netscape Multi User Setup... Version 4.04 +
  1. Click your Start button
  2. Open Programs
  3. Open Netscape Communicator
  4. Open Utilities
  5. Open User Profile Manager
  6. Click on New
  7. Follow the instructions to set up your new e-mail box;
    • Select a name for the profile (example: "daughter's email")
    • Incoming Mail Server is... mail.coinet.com
    • Outgoing Mail Server is... mail.coinet.com
    • Username is the first part of your e-mail address
    • When prompted for the type of mail server, select POP3.
Every time you open Netscape, you will be prompted to select which profile you want to use. Select your profile and Netscape will open as normal. To use a different profile, close Netscape and start it again.

Each profile has its own Bookmarks, mail settings, and other preferences.
